Setting standards is important in the tooling industry and Uddeholm is known for delivering first class tooling materials. The new steel grade, Uddeholm Ramax LH, is no exception. It is a top-level tool steel for mold bases, with excellent machinability offered from a complete stock program. Uddeholm Ramax LH also exhibits uniform hardness in all dimensions combined with very good stability.

This new stainless steel grade will give producers of mold bases, as well as tool makers around the world, the benefit of reduced tooling costs. In addition it prevents corrosion that can clog water cooling channels, leading to a gradual increase in cycle times.
